The trendy barndominium style evokes classic barns, but with living space. Although the term "barndominium" traditionally refers to a metal-framed building with living space, we take a more expansive view. That means that most of the plans in our collection have wood framing, but they still give you that great barndo look. This home’s simple footprint and no-fuss design keep things simple while still offering lots of luxurious features. A three-car garage fronts this home, creating lots of space for storing vehicles or extra belongings and creating an additional entrance to this home. Inside, a short hallway is surrounded by a mudroom, powder room, and primary bedroom, leading toward the main living zone. This area comprises a great room with a vaulted ceiling to open up the space, as well as a kitchen with a convenient center island. A close-by pantry helps keep your kitchen organized, while also keeping your favorite snacks within reach.

This 3,219-square-foot home features a wrap-around covered porch, garage space for two cars (plus a workshop!), and a balcony that overlooks the property, and we’re not even inside yet. The luxe home opens with a short foyer, with the open kitchen and dining space straight ahead. A center island helps break up the space and makes meal prep simple, too. Further into the space, the great room with a vaulted ceiling is perfect for relaxing or entertaining, with a built-in fireplace to make this space feel even cozier. Step out to the covered porch for hanging out with friends and family when the weather allows.

Around a corner, a study creates an ideal work-from-home space in the comfort of your home, while still providing plenty of privacy. The guest bedroom also sits on this level to offer guests a relaxing place to stay (complete with private access to the bathroom). This home can effortlessly be kept tidy with the mudroom that leads in from the garage and is conveniently attached to the laundry room.

From the outside, this home truly resembles a classic barn, with brick-colored siding and eye-catching doors on the enormous "car barn." This space includes car storage, a separate RV storage space, and access to an optional upstairs studio via a short flight of stairs. The studio features a large bedroom with an attached kitchenette, as well as a full bathroom and walk-in closet. This space would be ideal for out-of-town or long-term guests, or older children living at home. With privacy and convenience paramount, this loft apartment is the perfect addition to your property.

Just a few steps away, the main house provides all of the comforts of home, with a combined great room and dining room opening the space. The kitchen sits directly to the right, with a large center island for gathering with friends and family. Beyond the front door and covered porch, this space opens with a great room that flows into the dining room and kitchen. A pass-through fireplace will draw all eyes and adds a cozy touch.

From the garage side, a short foyer leads through the mudroom, which allows you to dump shoes and bags after a long day, and even wash your dog! A sliding door connects the mudroom to the primary bedroom's closet; a sizable space that serves as the perfect place to store all of your favorite outfits. We also love this suite's luxurious bathroom with a freestanding tub.
